Editorial Workflow
The Editorial Workflow of Scientia Nexus: An International Journal of Interdisciplinary Research will operate on a continuous submission basis, allowing manuscripts to be submitted at any time. After submission, the editorial process will follow successive stages of screening, peer review, revision, editing, and publication, with an estimated timeframe of 30 to 60 days from submission to publication, provided that the manuscript meets the journal’s formal, scientific, and ethical requirements.
Initially, the manuscript will be submitted by the author through the journal’s official platform or submission channel. The Editor-in-Chief will then conduct the first editorial screening, verifying the article’s alignment with the scope of Scientia Nexus, formatting guidelines, required structure, minimum standards of scientific writing, originality, and ethical publication criteria. At this stage, the manuscript may be returned to the author for preliminary adjustments or rejected if it is clearly outside the journal’s scope.
Once the initial screening has been completed, the manuscript will be sent for double-blind peer review, ensuring that authors and reviewers remain anonymous to one another. The reviewers will assess the relevance of the topic, theoretical and methodological consistency, argumentative coherence, scientific contribution, currency of references, quality of discussion, and the relevance of the results or reflections presented.
After the reviewers submit their reports, the manuscript will return to the Editor-in-Chief, who will analyze the evaluations and communicate the editorial decision to the authors. The decision may be: accepted without revisions, accepted with mandatory revisions, or rejected. In cases of acceptance with revisions, authors must revise the manuscript according to the reviewers’ and editor’s recommendations and resubmit the corrected version within the established deadline.
Once the revised version is received, the Editor-in-Chief will verify whether the requested changes have been properly incorporated. When necessary, the manuscript may be returned to the reviewers for further assessment. After final approval, the manuscript will proceed to the stages of editorial revision, standardization, metadata checking, reference verification, final version preparation, layout editing, assignment of editorial identifiers, when applicable, and publication on the journal’s website.
At the end of this process, the article will be made available in open access, in accordance with the editorial policy of Scientia Nexus, which is committed to open science, research internationalization, qualified circulation of knowledge, and the strengthening of interdisciplinary publications with academic and social relevance.
